Year 11 class of 2026 celebrate GCSE and technical grades
Our students are celebrating GCSE and strong technical results.
Students studying with us complete GCSEs and technical qualifications in engineering and advanced manufacturing or creative and digital media.
A total of 97 students sat GCSEs and technical qualifications this year. 80% of students have achieved their qualifications in Engineering Manufacturing or Creative Media Production with over 60% gaining grade 5 or better in Media studies, Art and Product Design. In addition to strong Technical results, 70% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in English with almost 65% of students achieving the same grade in Maths. Over 95% of students who sat triple science achieved a grade 4 with 80% gaining a 5 or better.
Alex Reynolds, Principal of UTC Sheffield City Centre, said: “Our students should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. Alongside their GCSE results, they have excelled in technical qualifications that have enabled them to develop valuable practical and industry-relevant skills. These achievements will open doors to exciting opportunities in further study, apprenticeships and employment.”
Many students are now progressing into our sixth form, with others moving to apprenticeships and other post 16 opportunities.
