Apply for September 2027
All students applying for a Year 9 place should follow the link below.
Students applying for Year 12 who currently attend a Sheffield school should apply through Sheffield Progress, you will be issued a username and password from your current school. Students applying who do not attend a Sheffield school should follow the appropriate link below.
Deadlines
The deadline for Year 9 applications for September 2027 is 31st October 2026, any applications after this date will be added to our waiting list. Year 9 offers will be made on 1st March 2027.
The deadline for Year 12 for September 2027 is 31st January 2027.

Appeals
If you are unsuccessful in your application for a place at UTC Sheffield City Centre you have the right to appeal. Please visit Sheffield Council’s appeal page for more information on how to proceed and the process.
Useful dates:
- Offer date 1 March 2027
- Deadline for lodging appeals 28 March 2027
- Deadline for lodging appeals for late applications – 20 school days from receiving the decision letter
Applications for September 2026
A waiting list for places for the 2026/27 academic year will be held until the end of October, if you are on the waiting list if a place becomes available we will get in touch in order in line with our admission policy.
