Inspiring the Next Generation

At UTC Sheffield City Centre, we inspire the next generation of engineers and creatives, preparing them for the careers of today and the opportunities of tomorrow. By combining academic excellence with specialist technical education, we equip students with the knowledge, skills and real-world experience they need to succeed in higher education, apprenticeships and employment.

As a purpose-built specialist college for students aged 13 to 19 (Year 9 – Year 13), we offer a distinctive educational experience through our specialist pathways in Engineering and Creative Digital Media. Our approach brings together academic and technical learning, helping students develop the confidence, industry insight and employability skills needed for their future.

Through partnerships with employers, universities and industry professionals, students gain valuable real-world experience that brings learning to life and prepares them for successful careers in a rapidly evolving world.

Students can join us in Year 9 to study a combination of technicals and GCSEs or in Year 12 to study a combintion of technicals and A Levels or a T Level.

Our Principal

Alex Reynolds has been part of UTC Sheffield City Centre since we opened in 2013 and became Principal in 2016. With a background in industrial design, CAD and additive manufacturing.
